Please be advised that an authorised stop-work meeting for Members of the MUA employed at DP World Brisbane will occur on Wednesday 16th September 2015 from 0700-1100 hours.

The purpose of the meeting is for Employee Representatives & MUA to communicate details to all Members in regard to the recently negotiated Enterprise Agreement between DP World Australia & it’s employees.

There shall be NO Vessel or Road Operations (Automated Modules or Old Terminal) during this time.

Terminal Operations shall resume from 1100 hours and we shall endeavour to minimise the impact on those Customers affected.

Dear Clients, Notice of four stoppages of six hours over the two consecutive days of next Tuesday and Wednesday have been scheduled by the Maritime Union of Australia (MUA), according to the Port Authority of New South Wales. The strike will take the form of work stoppages by the cutter master and the deckhand in the pilot vessels to embark and disembark pilots at Jackson and Botany. One vessel in each port will be affected. Essential services will continue as normal. A spokesperson said that the port authority believes there is agreement on the majority of issues that were presented but a resolution has not been reached and it hoped to achieve this before the action commences on Tuesday. Dear Client,

Please refer to the below latest update from DP World Australia regarding the effects of the Current Sydney weather conditions on their Port Botany Terminal.

Severe weather has continued throughout the night. Port Botany remains closed to harbour movements and we understand that the situation will be reassessed at 1:30pm this afternoon. There is no quayline or landside activity at DP World's Port Botany terminal pending an improvement in weather conditions. Vessels alongside have storm lines out and our cranes are pinned to the wharf.

There weather impact is under constant review. Labour is standing by and as soon as conditions improve, and it is safe to do so, work will resume immediately.
