✖️ Patrick Fisherman Islands Terminal Shutdown – 1st September 2026 ✖️

Freight & Trade Alliance (FTA) and the Australian Peak Shippers Association (APSA) have issued formal notice that Patrick Terminal at Fisherman Islands (Brisbane) will cease all ship and yard operations on:

Date: Tuesday, 1 September 2026
Time: 0700–2300 hours (local Brisbane time)

During this window, no vessel loading/discharging, gate moves, or yard rehandles will be possible at this terminal.

Fisherman Islands is one of Brisbane’s core container terminals, handling a significant share of import and export moves for Queensland and northern NSW.
A full-day shutdown affects…
Vessel berthing and operations – any vessel scheduled to work Patrick on 1st September will need to be rescheduled or shifted to another terminal/berth if possible.
Import collections – trucks booked to pick up from Patrick on that day will not be able to enter or move containers.
Export receivals and cut-offs – export cargo due for receival or stuffing around this date may miss intended sailings if not rebooked.
Empty returns and repositions – any plans to return empties to Patrick on 1st September will need to be moved to another day or terminal.
